Since our charter 22 December 1947, American Legion Post 869 has welcomed Veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces. It is our duty and honor to maintain the tradition as a welcoming post to all military personnel who have served and those who continue to serve our country. Join our post and maintain your commitment to your God, your Country and your Community. Our mission is to implement those goals and aspirations, embodied in our preamble below, to safeguard the peace and insure the blessings of liberty for our country, friends and families.

FOR GOD AND COUNTRY WE ASSOCIATE OURSELVES TOGETHER FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES:

To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America;

To maintain law and order;

To foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism;

To preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in the Great Wars;

To inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation;

To combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses;

To make right the master of might;

To promote peace and goodwill on earth;

To safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy;

To consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.

To the supportive citizens of Archbald, Pennsylvania, please join our Post as a Social Member or Booster. 100% of the monies raised are given back to the community. Help us to continue sponsoring Scholarships for our children; give aid and assistance to our local needy Veterans and their families. Help us continue to support community programs and projects.
